SANDBAGS
The Northern California storm season runs from October through March every year. The severity of flooding depends on the storm itself, as well as conditions of the local property, street, and storm drain system.
Sandbags are available to Lincoln residents at the following locations:
- Joiner Park, 1701 Nicolaus Rd. (east side of parking lot)
- McBean Park, 17 McBean Park Dr. (parking lot near the skate park)
- Lincoln Public Library, 485 Twelve Bridges Dr. (east side of parking lot)
There is a limit of 25 bags per household. Please remember to bring your own shovel. Please note that the sand and bags are for Lincoln residents only.

Instructions on how to fill a sandbag:
- Fill sandbags ½ to ⅔ full
- Tie at top so bag will lay flat when put in place
- A properly filled sandbag should weigh between 35-40 lbs
- Overfilled bags and bags tied too low leave gaps in the levee, allowing water to seep through
- An overfilled sandbag can weight 70-75 lbs
